The Trip to Puy De Fou and Toledo, Organized by the Women’s Center (Cmim), Closes the Commemorative Events for International Women’s Day.

From April 26th to 28th, the Vera Women’s Center (CMIM) organized a trip to Puy de Fou and Toledo as the culmination of a series of educational, cultural, and leisure activities. This trip followed the events held for International Women’s Day, which included an opening ceremony chaired by Mayor Alfonso García Ramos and Councillor for Equality and Social Services Maria Manuela Caparrós Flores.

During the weekend, the women visited the architectural and cultural sites of Toledo, experiencing its rich gastronomic culture and exploring its historical landmarks. Their visit to Puy de Fou, known for its innovative approach to history and entertainment, provided them with an immersive experience into Toledo’s medieval past through day and night shows.

This getaway was part of the International Women’s Day program, which also included events like a gala dinner attended by over 200 women, a scape room workshop addressing issues of inequality, a theatrical performance, and a photography exhibition showcasing women’s talent and dedication.

These events highlight the commitment of the Vera City Council and the Women’s Center (CMIM VERA) to promoting gender equality and fostering an inclusive and respectful culture in the community. It reflects their dedication to creating a more just, equitable, and inclusive world through active participation and engagement from all members of society.
