Scouts From Granada, Belonging to the Fénix Group, Take Part in the Mojácar Council Environmental Programme

From the 3rd to the 5th of August, the Fénix Scouts group from Mojácar will be participating in activities as part of an environmental program created by Mojácar Council. They will also be implementing several projects they have developed for their stay in the locality.

Upon their arrival in Mojácar, the Culture Councillor, Noemí Linares, warmly welcomed them, expressing appreciation for their voluntary choice to engage in activities within the municipality.

Comprising 20 scouts, including their two monitors, the group is being accommodated by Mojácar Council at the town’s Multi-Uses Centre as part of their voluntary work in the area.

Their decision to choose Mojácar was influenced by various factors, including their interest in combating the proliferation of plastic on beaches and coastlines, as well as their commitment to addressing “basuraleza” (rubbish and litter in nature).

During their stay, they will actively participate in beach and seafront promenade clean-ups, while also conducting educational campaigns to raise awareness about the importance of waste management and correct recycling practices.

With an average age of 17, the dedication of these young people is significant, as they represent the future generations and the stewards of the planet.
