Mojácar Council Expands and Reinforces the Bus Service Throughout the Municipality
Mojácar Council has taken a significant step to enhance public transportation in the municipality by introducing three new bus lines, providing greater flexibility and convenience for residents and visitors alike. Previously, only one circular route was available, irrespective of the final destination.
Starting from October 1st, commuters can now choose from three distinct routes tailored to their specific destinations. Line 1 links Sopalmo with Mojácar village and vice versa, serving all the customary stops along the route from Macenas to Pueblo Indalo, the Parque Comercial, and Mojácar Pueblo.
Line 2 connects Marina de la Torre with Mojácar village and back, offering stops along the entire route, including Avenida del Mar and hotels in the Marina de la Torre urbanization. This new line facilitates mobility for residents and hotel guests, returning to the coast after completing its route.
Line 3 traverses the entire Paseo Marítimo, linking Macenas with Marina de la Torre, with stops at Hotel Indalo, Parque Comercial, the Palmeral, and Marina de la Torre, and vice versa.
This initiative aims to streamline transportation across the municipality, providing passengers with options tailored to their needs. Detailed timetables and route information can be accessed on the Local Council website, the Mojácar mobile application, and social media platforms.
By expanding the bus service and increasing the number of stops, Mojácar Council is prioritizing sustainable and environmentally friendly transportation options while addressing parking issues and reducing costs associated with private vehicles. It’s a move towards a more accessible and efficient transportation system for everyone in the community.
