The Mojácar Mayor and the Education Councillor Meet With the Local Public School’s Parents Association and Headmaster

Mojácar Mayor Francisco García Cerdá, along with Education Councillor Noemí Linares, convened on Monday with Antonio Garrido, headmaster of the town’s CEIP infants and primary school, Paloma Ramos, President of the Bartolomé Flores school AMPA Parents’ Association, and the Governing Board.

The purpose of the meeting was to initiate discussions between the Local Council and the school regarding the development of a maintenance and improvement plan for the CEIP in the upcoming years.

During the meeting, Mayor García Cerdá and Councillor Linares informed the attendees about the investments planned for the 2023 municipal financial year. In addition to general maintenance, the planned actions include cementing the entire playground floor, costing nearly 12,000 euros, and refurbishing the library terrace for use, amounting to approximately 6,000 euros.

Mayor García Cerdá expressed his readiness to consider proposals for the maintenance and modernization of the center, and committed to programming future investments based on the needs identified by the headmaster and the AMPA governing board. This budgetary allocation will be maintained for the next four years, separate from general maintenance.
The meeting, held at the Bartolomé Flores center itself, also provided an opportunity for the Mayor, Education Councillor, and other participants to conduct a comprehensive inspection of the facilities.
