The “la Fuente” Municipal Art Centre Opens Its Doors to the Works of Pedro Molina

Mojácar Council, through its Festivities Department, has announced a competition to select the poster for the 2023 Patron Saint Festivities in honor of San Agustín. Participation in the competition is open to everyone, with each participant allowed to submit a maximum of three original, unpublished works. The theme of the poster should primarily focus on any representative aspect of the locality’s Patron Saint Festivities.

The submitted works can employ any free technique for expression, provided that they can be reproduced without difficulty in four-color. The dimensions of the posters must be 50×70 cm, without margins, and in vertical orientation. Artists submitting their work without a signature are advised to promptly contact the organizers via email at festejos@mojacar.es or through WeTransfer to the same email address, providing personal details including name, surname, nationality, date of birth, ID, NIE or passport number, mobile number, and email address in an attached text file.

Mojácar Council is committed to the responsible and legal use of all provided details, ensuring their destruction when appropriate, and always respecting current legislation. The mandatory text for the poster, which can be composed freely, should read: “FIESTAS DE SAN AGUSTÍN, MOJÁCAR 2023, del 25 al 28 de agosto.” The deadline for submission of works is until 11:59 pm on Monday, July 31st, 2023.

The jury, composed of members of Mojácar Council’s Festivities Department, will select three finalist posters from all submitted works. The winner among the three selected works will be determined through votes received on the Mojácar Informa Facebook and Instagram pages: mojacarinformando. The poster with the most votes will be declared the winner of the San Agustín 2023 Patron Saint Festivities poster competition.

The prize for the winning poster will be a diploma and a dinner for two at a local restaurant, with conditions to be presented at the time of awarding. Mojácar Council pledges to credit the name of the poster’s author on all reproductions made. In the event that the quality or theme of the submitted works do not meet the council’s expectations, the competition may be declared void. Participation in the competition implies full acceptance of the rules and regulations, which can be found on the municipal social media platforms, where they are published in full.
